Night Rating

A Night rating allows you to fly during the hours of legal darkness which can be useful during the short days of winter in the North, and if pursuing a career in aviation

 

Prior to starting your training to your night rating, you need your private licence

 

Flight training for the Night Rating will consist of a minimum of 20 hours of flight training including:

  • 15 hours dual, including:
    • 10 hours of Instrument Training (5 is normally already done during the PPL),
    • 5 hours by night including 2 hours¬†Cross-country,
  • 5 hours solo
