Night Rating

Description

A Night rating allows you to fly during the hours of legal darkness which can be useful during the short days of winter in the North It’s necessary for almost all aviation careers.

Prerequisites

Prior to starting your training for your night rating, you need your private pilots licence (PPL).

 

Course Requirements

Flight training for the Night Rating will consist of a minimum of 20 hours of flight training including:

  • 15 hours dual, including:
    • 10 hours of Instrument Training (5 will have been completed during the PPL training),
    • 5 hours by night including 2 hours Cross-country,
  • 5 hours solo
